Behind the Design"I was captivated by the nautiluses as little microcosms - spinning and growing to life like a distant galaxy - appearing as irregular chaos that is, in fact, perfectly ordered."
— Jennifer Hunold
Nautilus Floral began in Jennifer's sketchbook in 2019 — a black Micron pen, paper, and a shape that had lived in her brain since undergrad, where she first learned that every geometric line can have a mathematical justification. The nautilus is a cousin to the golden spiral — nature's own logic made visible. Her work is inspired by that logic, then expressed through organic means, alluding to perfection without being bound by it.
Through multiple iterations the idea evolved, and by 2025 it took shape as a layered pattern. What reads first as floral reveals itself, on closer inspection, as a universe of nautiluses: each one spinning and multiplying, order disguised as abundance.
