Each Memory & Mark design is an original, made by hand using digital tools (primarily Procreate and Affinity Designer). “Made by hand” means exactly that: no generative AI, no stock pattern manipulation. Each design begins as a drawing and builds from there.
-
In physical drawing, marks made with charcoal or colored pencil are never perfectly flat. The medium flows unevenly across the paper’s texture to create an irregular quality.
Memory & Mark’s designs preserve that. The texture you see isn’t a limitation or defect; it’s on purpose. This is what makes the work look hand-drawn at any scale.
-
All Memory & Mark designs are available exclusively through Spoonflower. When you click a design link on this site, you’ll be directed to Spoonflower’s platform, where you can choose from a wide range of fabrics, wallpapers, and home goods printed with that design.

Because of the detailed, hand-drawn nature of our designs, we do not recommend any material that has a substantial texture. For example, we do not recommend grasscloth wallpaper because the fine lines are lost in the texture.
Prior to an order, we recommend purchasing a swatch. Spoonflower makes this easy for fabric and wallpaper.
-
Spoonflower offers a wide range of options on their site. Depending on your application, some substrates will be better than others. We recommend reviewing Spoonflower’s suggestions when selecting a material, with consideration to your application and overall budget. Please keep in mind:
White is not printed. The cloth or wallpaper will be the white for the image, which means it may change depending on material. Some whites are brighter whereas some are creamy.
Textures will change how the marks appear. More visible textures may add more disruption to our patterns.
Colors may change across different material types.
We strongly recommend purchasing swatches for all materials you intend to order to ensure the color and pattern are to your liking.
