Aurora Aura traces its origins to Sunrise, a drawing completed in 2021. One detail from that work held Jennifer's attention long after the piece was finished: a warm-to-cool color progression along the bottom of the image that suggested something more could be made from it.
Borrowing lessons from her other pattern designs, Jennifer built interlocking arches as a vessel for the maze-like forms within, threading the warm-cool progression from Sunrise through the whole composition.
The pattern rewards attention at every scale. At a distance, the arches read as rhythm and light. Up close, each cell reveals its own interior world — hand-drawn lines tracing geometric paths that never quite resolve.
